32 days of Conference:
I thought what a great way to kick off my new blog than with a 32 day challenge! There are 32 days until General Conference. General Conference is a time when members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gather all over the world, to listen to the Prophet, the Apostles and other church leaders, speak and give counsel on spiritual and church matters. Each speaker is guided my the Spirit as to what to talk about. There is always something in one of the many talks that is just for you, me or maybe someone you know. The first talk is for today. In conferences we can receive the word of the Lord meant just for us.
This is so true, if we come with an open heart, ready to learn and be filled with the Spirit, something said by one of the speakers will touch our heart and may be the answer to our prayers.
The Holy Ghost carries the word of the Lord unto our hearts in terms we can understand.
What is said is not as important as what we hear and what we feel. That is why we make an effort to experience conference in a setting where the still, small voice of the Spirit can be clearly heard, felt, and understood.
